How can you adjust your planned learning activities to meet the needs of your learners if an unexpected event occurs? (for example, a pandemic arises and many of your employees must now work from home – how will you ensure that they can still do their jobs? What training will they need, and how will you deliver it, knowing they must remain at home?) This is a common discussion thread right now as many schools and universities have made the switch to teaching online.
Adjusting and adpating to unexpected circumstances is crucial for learning and working enviroment. Since covid 19 pandemic we have seen a surge in online learning and forced institutions to adapt to distanced education. Obviously there are many changes in terms of teaching and learning that have to be changed in order to cater this model to students in the most effective way. I honeslty do believe that face to face and lecture hall teaching is out dated. I know some instructors that are very opposed to online learning but some of this hesitation may come form having to learn a whole new system and try to rebuild the content and the way of presenting it to students. Some may even call these instructors old fashioned.
